Berit's comment: These historical facts are not included in American social studies!  But it's not too late to take a look at the roots and rulers behind today's political, economic, cultural and spiritual transformation. These handpicked leaders were chosen and groomed for their future roles as single-minded, pragmatic globalist change agents. According to their strengths and ideological compliance, they are placed where they're needed -- in banks, the media, U.S. Congress, government bureaucracies, etc. They despise our faith and values! In recent decades, potential young leaders have been brought together to be trained and tested at every UN Conference and many other global events.
As you ponder the quotes below, notice the utter disregard for human suffering. The primary assault is aimed at the minds and values of the masses, but bloodshed is always an option when it serves the ultimate purpose: establishing a socialist/totalitarian New World Order. Yet, we shouldn't be surprised, for God's Word warns us that,
"...the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one." 1 John 5:19
"If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.... If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you... because they do not know Him who sent Me. " John 15:18-21

Introduction by Dr. Stan Monteith, M.D., host of Radio Liberty:
Last month's letter dealt with the Bavarian Illuminati. Dr. Dennis Cuddy quoted from a sermon delivered by Timothy Dwight, the president of Yale University, and a speech given by Joseph Willard, the president of Harvard University. Both men tried to warn the American people about the secret group, and Dr. Cuddy validated their concern by quoting from a little-known treatise on the Columbian Illuminati. Copies of that treatise are available from Radio Liberty. [1]
A century ago most people knew about the Illuminati. Some Lodges must still have been active in 1871 when Albert Pike wrote Morals and Dogma because he referred to the common origin of Hermetic Freemasonry and the Illuminati when he wrote:
". . . it was this same remembrance, preserved, or perhaps profaned in the celebrated Order of the Templars, that became for all the secret associations, of the Rose-Croix, of the Illuminati, and of the Hermetic Freemasons, the reason of their strange rites, of their signs more or less conventional, and, above all, of their mutual devotedness and of their power." [2]
Does the Illuminati, or some similar organization, still exist? Last month I concluded my letter with a quotation from a pamphlet I received from the Lucis Trust entitled The Work of the Spiritual Hierarchy. It stated that a small group of powerful men control the world. [3] In 1995 the Lucis Trust distributed a Goodwill Meditation Group Report that referred to "the Illumined ones," and the "Illuminists," who are working to create a better world. [4]
Dr. Dennis Cuddy taught American History at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and during the Reagan Administration he worked as a senior associate with the U.S. Department of Education. This month he has summarized his soon-to-be published book, The Power Elite Exposed. Dr. Cuddy contends that many of the men who rule America come from one of three groups: (1) Rhodes Scholars (RS): (2) Fabian Socialists (FS): and (3) Skull and Bones (S&B). Some belong to two groups, and many also belong to the Council on Foreign Relations which is an outgrowth of Cecil Rhodes' plan to rule the world.
I hope you enjoy Dr. Cuddy's analysis of the men and the events that have shaped the world in which we live.

Dr. Dennis Cuddy taught American History at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. During the Reagan Administration he worked as a senior associate with the U.S. Department of Education. The information below is a summary of his book, The Globalists: The Power Elite Exposed. Dr. Cuddy contends that many of the men who rule America are Fabian Socialists, Rhodes Scholars and members of Skull and Bones or the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR), which is an outgrowth of Cecil Rhodes' plan to rule the world.
Many conservatives believe that the American voters' choice of George W. Bush as president marks a return to the founding values of our Republic, but it should be remembered that George W. Bush, like his father, George H. W. Bush, and his grandfather, Prescott Sheldon Bush, is a member of Skull and Bones.[6] It is the purpose of this article to show how Skull and Bones members (S&B) work in tandem with Rhodes Scholars (RS) and Fabian Socialists (FS) to form an important part of what is known as the power elite.
1833: That year the Skull and Bones fraternity was organized at Yale University as Chapter 322 of a German fraternity.
1883: What part has Skull & Bones played in our elections? Professor Carroll Quigley was President Clinton's mentor, and in Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World In our Time the professor revealed that William C. Whitney (S&B) and others, in the late 19th century, developed a plan to control both major political parties through financial contributions and have the two main parties alternate power so the public would think it had a choice.[7] Professor Quigley said Whitney's plan lasted about 16 years, and after that, the "Eastern Establishment" (power elite) moved the Democrat and Republican presidential candidates toward the political center:
"...assiduously fostering the process behind the scenes ... and nearly met in the center with almost identical candidates and platforms, although the process was concealed, as much as possible, by the revival of ... meaningless war cries and slogans..."[8]
Elsewhere Professor Quigley commented:
"...the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can 'throw the rascals out' at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy."[9]
Professor Quigley was allowed to examine some of the "secret records" of the power elite, and found that in the late 19th century Cecil Rhodes had formed a secret society: "... to take the government of the whole world."[10]
1883-1884: The British Fabian Socialist Society was organized by George Bernard Shaw, H.G. Wells, Sidney Webb, Annie Besant, and others. Bertrand Russell joined the organization sometime later.
1891: Cecil John Rhodes organized a secret society to take control of the world. His mentor at Oxford University was John Ruskin. Ruskin has a swastika engraved on his gravestone, just as Rhodes Trust member Rudyard Kipling has on the covers of his early books.[11] Prior to Adolph Hitler, the swastika, which reportedly also has been seen at the S&B vault at Yale University, was an elitist symbol. In an apparent contradiction, John Ruskin referred to himself as a Tory and a Communist. [12] However, one must realize that the elite have no qualms about working with both the political left and the political right, with an ultimate goal of synthesizing them into a world socialist government.
As far as Rhodes was concerned, his plan would be carried out via Rhodes Scholars and Round Table Groups, which grew out of his secret "Society of the Elect." Rhodes' secret society lasted almost six decades, by which time enough of his people had penetrated the areas of politics, economics, journalism, and education so that his "conspiracy" was replaced by a network of the power elite. [13] We know that the conspiracy lasted well into the 20th century, because in 1931 one of its key operatives, historian Arnold Toynbee, wrote:
"We are at present working discreetly with all our might to wrest this mysterious force called sovereignty out of the clutches of the local nation states of the world. All the time we are denying with our lips what we are doing with our hands."[14]
The third group comprising the power elite would be the Fabian Socialists (FS) which included H.G. Wells. In his book, New Worlds for Old, Wells explained what he called "a plot" whereby heads of state would come and go, but bureaucrats trained at the London School of Economics (established by the FS) would remain in government making rules and regulations furthering the goals of the Fabian Society.[15]
While the Fabians were using education to move the public toward socialism, Rhodes Scholars were obtaining important posts in universities, and Carl Haessler (RS) was helping to establish Socialist Sunday Schools for younger people. [16] About the same time, socialist John Dewey, who had been mentored by G. Stanley Hall, who was brought to Johns Hopkins University by its president, Daniel Coit Gilman (S&B), was instituting "progressive education" in classrooms across our nation. [17] And like the RS influence in journalism, economics, and politics, Skull and Bones members also became involved in these areas. In journalism, Richard Ely Danielson would become the publisher of Atlantic Monthly, Russell Wheeler Davenport would become the editor of Fortune magazine, and Henry Luce would become the founder of Time. [18] Henry Luce's biographer, Robert Herzstein, wrote:
"Early on, young Harry (Henry Luce) learned that a powerful circle of contacts and friends could move the world."[19]
In economics, S&B member Thomas Daniels would found Archer-Daniels-Midland, a transnational corporation.[20] Today ADM controls most of the world's grain.
1908: William Howard Taft (S&B) was elected president [replacing Theodore Roosevelt, who served until March 1909]. Four years later, in a 3-way race that was remarkably similar to the presidential contest of 1992 where S&B member George Bush lost his bid for re-election to Rhodes Scholar Bill Clinton, Taft lost his bid for re-election to Woodrow Wilson. President Wilson's chief adviser was Colonel Edward Mandell House who wrote a book entitled Philip Dru: Administrator in which he alluded to the creation of: "...socialism as dreamed of by Karl Marx."[21]
1917: Lord Esher was one of the four original members of Cecil Rhodes' secret society. By 1917, England was involved in World War I, and he was an adviser to the English king. On August 11, Lord Esher wrote in his diary:
"Mr. Henry Morgenthau asked me to call on him.... (He) was one of the principal supporters of President Wilson in the campaign for the Presidency, and he possesses the friendship and confidence of the President.... They are ready to sacrifice the lives of American citizens.... Mr. Morgenthau realizes the importance upon the morale of the French army and the French people of cementing the Alliance by shedding American blood at the earliest possible moment. If many lives have to be sacrificed, the influence upon the American people can only be beneficent."[22]
1919: After World War I ended, members of Cecil Rhodes' Round Table Group (largely under the direction of Rhodes' successor, Lord Alfred Milner) met with The Inquiry, led by Colonel Edward Mandell House. Working with the Fabian Socialists, they established the Royal Institute of International Affairs and its American branch, the Council on Foreign Relations.[23] The CFR was largely under the control of associates of J.P. Morgan, some of whom were S&B members such as Henry P. Davison and Averell Harriman.[24] Averell Harriman's brother, E. Roland Harriman, was a member of the CFR; he was initiated into S&B in 1917 along with Prescott Sheldon Bush, George W. Bush's grandfather.[25]
1921: The CFR was incorporated in the state of New York.
1928: H.G. Wells authored The Open Conspiracy: Blue Prints for a World Revolution. By then he had broken with the Fabians, not in terms of their goals, but only in believing that they should be open about their plan to synthesize western capitalism with eastern communism, and create a world socialist government. In a later book titled The New World Order, Wells said that many would die protesting against it.[26] In the same year as The Open Conspiracy was published, H.G. Wells received a letter from Bertrand Russell congratulating him, and saying:
"(Lord R.B.) Haldane (FS) would not forego the pleasure to be derived from the next war."[27]
Bertrand Russell would later write that a "Black Death" or bacteriological warfare might be needed to cull the population.[28] Wells had already written that 'they would have a cause that "would make killing worth the while."[29]
In his book, A New Deal, future New Deal Resettlement Administration and UNESCO, consultant Stuart Chase wrote: "A better economic order is worth a little bloodshed." Stuart Chase advocated joining H.G. Wells' "Open Conspiracy."[30]
1928: John Dewey wrote an article for the December 5 issue of The New Republic magazine in which he noted that the Bolsheviks were engaged in:
"'...a most interesting sociological experiment,' ... and using progressive educational ideas and practices to '...counteract and transform... the influence of home and Church.'"[31]
The following year, in his book, Individualism, Old and New,  Dewey predicted: "We are in for some kind of socialism, call it by whatever name we please."[32]
Dewey would later become president of The League For Industrial Democracy (LID), formerly the Intercollegiate Socialist Society, and the American counterpart of the British Fabian Society. The Thirtieth Anniversary Report of the LID stated: "The Student LID ... feels particularly proud that the last batch of Rhodes Scholars contained six members of the LID."[33] John Dewey and the FS wanted social or group control.
1928: When William Paley (CFR) was beginning CBS, his chief advisor was Sigmund Freud's nephew, Edward Bernays, who authored the book, Propaganda, in which he revealed:
"Those who manipulate the organized habits and opinions of the masses constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of the country."[34]
1933: On April 11, Max Mason, president of the Rockefeller Foundation, assured his trustees that in their program:
"The Social Sciences will concern themselves with the rationalization of social control , ... the control of human behavior."[35]
Four years later, the foundation gave a grant to Princeton University to study the influence of radio on different groups, and Rockefeller's General Education Board funded a study of CBS's 1938 broadcast of War of the Worlds, which was written up later as a 'study in the psychology of panic.'"[36]
1938: Francis Pickens Miller (RS) became organization director of the Committees on Foreign Relations of the CFR.
Two years later he headed another group which included Dean Acheson (CFR), future CFR president Allen Dulles, CBS newsman Elmer Davis (RS), and Whitney Shepardson (RS), a former assistant to Colonel Edward Mandell House. The group came to be known as the Fight for Freedom Committee. It was a front organization for the English government's effort to involve the United States in World War II. [37] The British rigged a public opinion poll, and placed women with certain key American government officials. [38] Fabian Socialist columnist Walter Lippmann's brother-in-law even came up with the idea of creating a phony Nazi map which was given to President Roosevelt for propaganda purposes. FDR said:
"I have in my possession a secret map made in Germany by Hitler's Government - - by the planners of the new world order."[39]
Lord Lothian was the British Ambassador to the United States at that time. He was a member of The Society of the Elect, the inner circle of Cecil Rhodes' secret group.[40]
1939: That year H.G. Wells revealed the socialists' plan to create a world government. In his book, The New World Order, he wrote:
"There will be no day of days... when a new world order comes into being. Step by step and here and there it will arrive, and even as it comes into being it will develop fresh perspectives.... Countless ... people will hate the new world order ... and will die protesting against it."[41]

That last statement may well be proven true. But those who trust and follow our Lord and His Word need not fear:
“If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? ... It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ... Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:31-39
The above quotes are only a few samples from Dr. Cuddy's informative book, The Globalists: The Power Elite Exposed, which is now out-of-print. However, there are some left, and you may be able to buy one by calling the office of Col. Ronald Ray at  800-837-0544.

Concluding note from Dr. Monteith regarding Dr. Cuddy's research:
Many of the men he has mentioned saw nothing wrong with killing large numbers of people if that would advance their cause. John Dewey viewed the brutality of Bolshevism as a "social experiment," and H.G. Wells was unconcerned that, "Countless . . . people will hate the new world order . . . and will die protesting against it."
Elsewhere he wrote that they would have a cause that, "would make killing worth the while," and Stuart Chase wrote, "A better economic order is worth a little bloodshed." Lord Esher sought "shedding American blood at the first possible moment. . . . If many lives have to be sacrificed, the influence upon the American people can only be beneficent."
Next month we will address Bertrand Russell's suggestion that a Black Death should be disseminated throughout the world once every generation to control population growth. The statements Dr. Cuddy cited demonstrate the power elite's lack of concern for human suffering.
What can we do? Edmund Burke lived at the time of the American Revolution, and many people are convinced that he founded the modern-day conservative movement. He wrote:
"When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle."[42]
Our enemies are well organized; we must work together if we hope to counter them. First, we must return to the faith of our fathers, for that is the foundation of our freedom. Then we must rekindle a love for liberty in the people, and convince them that life without freedom is life without meaning. We must organize our precincts and tell our neighbors about the power elite. They claim that they want to do good, but some of them have used wars, revolutions, assassinations, deception, and murder to advance their agenda. Can they justify what they have done? Remember the Lord's admonition:
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!" Isaiah 5: 20-21
Pray for our nation; pray for our politicians; pray for our ministers; please remember to pray for Radio Liberty, for our provision and protection. Thank you for your continued support.
Yours in Christ,
Stanley Monteith, M.D.

——————  ——————

DURING HIS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN of 2000, George W. Bush gave a 90-minute talk (on July 31) with the managing editor of the Illuminati controlled TIME magazine (so says Jesuit Professor Carroll Quigley: see later chapter titled “The Rhodes Gang”). At one point in the interview, Walter Isaacson asked Mr. Bush whether it troubled him at all that he had been initiated into the secret Society of Skull and Bones, to which Bush responded exuberantly, “No qualms at all. I was honored.”

The problem with that response is that the secrets of this Order mark its members as infidels and debauchees, with skeletons in their closets.
The reason the ‘literary society’ of Skull and Bones is of particular concern is that its members are required to take an oath (see later) that completely absolves them from—takes precedence over—allegiance to any nation or king or government or constitution, including the negating of any subsequent oath which they may be required to take, that conflicts with the interests of the Order. To whom then do they swear their ultimate allegiance? We must go back to the origin of the Order to see the roots that sustain these branches.
Now, there has been a certain amount of deliberate falsehoods put out by some who belong to the Order called Skull and Bones. I now offer a very different, and we hope more correct view. As we shall see, Skull and Bones is merely a chapter of the German Illuminati, founded by the Jesuit, Adam Weishaupt.
The masterminds behind the formation of Skull and Bones were William Huntington Russell and Alphonso Taft. Russell, while on a student tour of Germany, met Adam Weishaupt and was initiated by him into the Illuminati. In 1832, Russell took his newfound wisdom (or ‘illumination’) back to America. A year later, in 1832, a group of Yale undergraduates, led by Alphonso Taft and Russell, formed a society called, “The Skull and Bones,” modelled after the old Phi Beta Kappa Society of 1776 and set up as Chapter 322 of the German Illuminati. Today Skull and Bones’ corporate name is The Russell Trust Association, which financies Skull and Bones, and also supervises the Order’s adherence to the tradition.
Alphonso Taft would later become both President and Chief Justice of the United States—one of four Justices known as the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.” Indeed, “Skull and Bones leads the list in influence, age, and society standing,” among American secret society.
Why have I alleged that Skull and Bones is a Chapter of the German Illuminati formed by Adam Weishaupt? What evidence is there to support this? There is a world-wide secret society called the Brotherhood of Death Society, whose symbol is also the skull with two crossed bones. At this point we want to draw a comparison between Skull and Bones and the Order known as the Thule Society, which many commentators have said is the German chapter of the Brotherhood of Death Society. It is known that Adolf Hitler joined this society in 1919, under the leadership of Dietrich Eckhart. As Eckhart revealed on his deathbed, “Follow Hitler; he will dance, but it is I who have called the tune. I have initiated him into the Secret Doctrine, opened his centers in vision, and given him the means to communicate with the powers.”  Skull and Bones’ symbol is also a skull with two crossed bones, but with the mysterious number ‘322’ underneath. It is claimed that certain documents exist which state that Skull and Bones is Chapter 322 of a corps of a German University, and that this German Secret Society (the Thule Society) was the basis for the founding of Skull and Bones at Yale University in 1832. In 1876 the headquarters of Shull and Bones was broken into and a document was found inside with the these words: “From the German Chapter. Presented by Patriarch D.C. Gilman of D. 50.” [Emphasis supplied].
There are indeed some very striking similarities. Like the Thule Society, members of the Order of Skull and Bones are initiated into the society by what is called “sexual magic ritual.” “The [ritualistic] death of the initiate will be as frightful as the use of human skeletons and ritual psychology can make it.... ” The Thule Society performed sexual rituals in their practices, likewise, Skull and Bones also incorporates sexual activities into their initiations (for which see later). Additionally, The Thule Society, were “concerned with raising their consciousness by means of rituals to awareness of evil and nonhuman intelligences in the universe; and with achieving means of communication with these intelligences.” Likewise, the initiates of Skull and Bones believe that they are “born again,” a term that in the Bones vocabulary means “enlightenment,” not the usually meaning given to it in the Christian Gospels.
Significantly, in the book Proofs of a Conspiracy (previously cited) Prof. Robison described the initiation ceremony into the “Regent Degree” of the Illuminati; and according to author Kris Millegan, in his book Fleshing Out Skull and Bones, “It [the Illuminati’s initiation ceremony] bears a striking resemblance to the… ritual for entry into Skull and Bones at Yale.”
The oath taken by the Illuminati requires the initiated to disregard all bonds of allegiance whether to father, mother, brothers, sisters, relations, friends or to the king, magistrates, and any other authority to which loyalty, obedience, or service may have been sworn. The particular passage reads: “faithfulness and everlasting obedience to all superiors and regulations of the Order…. you are free from the so-called oath to country and laws: swear to reveal to the new chief… what you may have seen or done, intercepted, read or heard, learned or surmised, and also seek for and spy out what your eyes cannot discern. Honour and respect the Aqua Tofana (a slow poison) as a sure, prompt, and necessary means of purging the globe by death of those who seek to vilify the truth [their ideology] and seize it from our hands... in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.”
Let us look more closely at Skull and Bones and its grotesque Illuminati initiation ritual. On April 23, 2001, ABC News reported on a Hidden Video Capture of the Skull and Bones initiation ritual. From this video we know that the initiation takes place on the campus of Yale University in a building called “The Tomb.” Ron Rosenbaum, columnist for the New York Observer, hid out on the ledge of a nearby building and videotaped the nocturnal initiation ceremony in the Tomb’s courtyard. He says that in the room “The death’s-head logo stamps everything from crockery to painted borders on the wall.” There were three people officiating—one dressed like the pope, another like Hiram Abif (the Masonic Messiah) and a third like a Don Quixote [D].
Why the Skull and Bones ritual would have as officiants Bonesmen dressed like the pope, Hiram Abif, and Don Quixote? Let’s look at this a bit closer. However, we need not strain for an answer: the pope represents the supremacy of Catholicism; in Hiram Abif we have the well known representative of Freemasonry. But who is this character Don Quixote?
The Jesuit Carroll Quigley once said, “Look at the real situations which lie beneath the conceptual and verbal symbols.” So let’s take his advice. Quixote was satirically characterized as the epically famous “madman” of Azpeitia. If we start with Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, the author of Don Quixote, we discover that not only was he a “strict Roman Catholic” it is believed that he also attended a Jesuit school in 1566: “Cervantes is likely [to have] enrolled in a Jesuit high school (colegio).” Next we find that Cervantes’ book Don Quixote expressly refers to the pope as “His Holiness the Pope…” and “his holiness Pope Pius V of happy memory.” (pp. 138, 331).
Interestingly, Pope Gregory XII used almost identical words to Cervantes in his letter, dated December 12, 1580, inciting Catholics to murder Queen Elizabeth I: “… that guilty woman (Elizabeth) of England…. is the cause of so much injury to the Catholic faith…. whosoever sends her out of the world with the pious intention of doing God service… especially having regard to the sentence pronounced against her by Pius V of holy memory….”
So who was this character represented by the original “Don Quixote” of whom Cervantes wrote so affectionately? “It was Ignatius Loyola,” says English commentator John Bowle Was Bowle right? The theory that Loyola (the first Jesuit General) is the man represented in the figure of Don Quixote, as first mooted by Bowle, hangs on a passage in the book Don Quixote where the angry Biscayan, the enemy of Don Quixote, is made a native of Azpeitia—the name of the obscure Spanish village where Loyola was born. [15] It is interesting to note that Quixote the “madman” of Azpeitia had wild visions of fighting with a dragon. Likewise, Ignatius Loyola claimed to have fought with Satan, who is referred to in the Bible as the winged “serpent” and “the dragon” (Revelation 12:3,9,17).
Further, in the story Don Quixote is said to have “composed a rosary” in honour of the Virgin Mary, who is typecast as the girl whom he loves “untouched by any man” who “still possesses… virginity.” (pp. xx, 802). A clear reference to the Virgin Mary—the idol of Loyola and the Jesuits. Even their mother church is named Mary.
In another book Our Lord Don Quixote (1905), Catholic professor Miguel de Unamuno draws parallels between Don Quixote and the life of the founder of the Jesuit Order, Ignatius of Loyola, their “Lord”. And the Jesuit-trained Voltaire wrote, the only difference between Loyola and the Quixote, is that “Don Quixote had a horse and an esquire, but Ignatius was not provided with either.”
Another link to the Jesuits is the use of the skull and crossbones emblem. Earlier we saw that when a Jesuit of the lower rank is to be elevated to a position of command, he is conducted into a Chapel of the Order, where he swears an oath under “a banner of yellow and white [the colours of the pope], and... a black banner with a dagger and red cross above a skull and crossbones.” Bonesmen likewise take an oath of inviolate secrecy while standing before a skull and cross-bones. So, here we see that the Skull and Bones initiation ritual, like that of the Jesuits uses the occult icon of the skull and crossbones.
It is also curious that the emblem of the skull and crossbones is also the symbol of the Chancellor for the Knights of Columbus. Interestingly, at the initiation of Mason the initiate is placed in a coffin and then lifted up; and when he opens his eyes he is confronted with a human skull and crossed bones? Are these similarities between the initiation of Skull and Bones, the Jesuits and Freemasons just another coincidence?
Albert C Stevens (the respected historian) also makes this interesting connection between the Masonic Kappa Sigma society, founded in 1867 at the University of Virginia, and Skull and Bones. On page 355, Stevens states, “The badge [of Kappa Sigma] is an inverted crescent of gold, attached to and below which, by four of its points, is a five-pointed star [the pentagram] with the letters Kappa Sigma in its center…. At the top, on the crescent, a skull and bones are engraved; at the left, the crossed keys [a symbol of the pope’s power], and at the right, crossed swords.” Is this all mere coincidence?
Returning to Quixote. Note, too, that “the hero [Don Quixote] is not one whom the author [Cervantes] desired to revile or to malign,” rather, says Charles Francis Horne, “Never was a satire like this, which leaves us full of love and sympathy for the object [Quixote, i.e. Loyola].” Thus, in the initiation ceremony of Skull and Bones, the pope, the Masonic Hiram Abif, and the Jesuit icon, Don Quixote, are all figures of admiration and emulation. Not surprisingly, then, many of the leading politicians in America, Bush, Clinton, Kerry, Rice, etc., bend and fawn before the Roman pontiff.
It is also quite interesting to note that Pope Benedict XVI (when he was Cardinal Ratzinger) also praised the character Don Quixote. In his book Principles of Catholic Theology the Pope referred to the madman Don Quixote as “a crusader for truth even if the defense of it should cost him his life.” Did not Loyola, that “ingenious gentleman” and crusader, teach the members of his Order to defend the Catholic faith at all hazards, even at the cost of their lives? Is that what Pope Benedict XVI is suggesting to his flock? Is this one the Principles of Catholic Theology?
To continue with the initiation. The Skull and Bones initiate is made to “face a skeleton, and at its feet are a crown and a sword.” During this ritual the Bonesmen shriek out, “Eulogia! Eulogia! Eulogia!” as the initiate is escorted into the inner temple (Room 322), where he is made to sign his name to an oath of utmost secrecy. He is then made to stand before a picture of Judas Iscariot, whose name is shouted aloud three times.
The initiate is next led to the most important part of the ritual, and pushed to his knees before a human skull filled with blood, which skull is resting at the foot of a human skeleton called “Madame Pompadour.” The other Bonesmen cry: “Drink it! Drink it! Drink it!” This mockery of the Christian sacrament is known as the “Black Mass.” When he is done drinking, the initiate is whipped in the face with the tail of the person dressed as the Don Quiote (the classic literary character symbolic of Ignatius Loyola). He is next taken quickly before the Bonesman dressed like the Pope. The initiate must bend and “kiss the Pope’s slippered toe.” This very fact—kissing the slippered toe of the pope—shows that their first allegiance is to the pope! Just as the ‘faithful’ Catholic kisses the toe of the bronze statue of St. Peter, inside the Basilica at Rome, so too, the Bonesman must kiss the pope’s slippered toe at his ritual initiation into the Order.
But that is not all. The candidate is then shoved to his knees in front of Don Quixote. As the shrieking Bonesmen fall silent Don Quixote taps the supplicant on his shoulder with a sword and says, “By order of our Order, I dub you a knight of Eulogia.” This is significant! Not only does the initiate kiss the pope’s toe, more importantly, the initiate is welcomed into the Order by the figure symbolizing the Jesuit General, Don Quixote: “I dub you a knight of Eulogia.” This lurid “melodrama” culminates in a ritual of mock sacrifice of a naked female.

The sitting President, George W. Bush, is worryingly ‘religious.’ The President claims that he is on a “divinely” appointed mission! We shall see a little later.
The Bonesmen use the Greek word: eulogia (“blessing”) and are referred to as Knights of Eulogia, because, according to the lore of Skull and Bones, a Roman goddess called Eulogia, after ascending to heaven in 322 BC, came back to earth in 1832 to found their society. Students of history will know that the Greek general, Alexander the Great died in 322 B.C. and was buried in Memphis, Egypt, and that his body was dug up and reburied in the Gnostic capital of Alexandria. As it turns out, the home of Skull and Bones, on the campus of Yale, is a windowless structure built to look like a mausoleum (a tomb) in a Greco-Egyptian style.
Is Bush a Christian? Judge for yourself. At one stage in the ritual initiation of Skull and Bones the initiates must “lay naked in coffins and tell their deepest and darkest sexual secrets as part of their initiation.” (Esquire, September, 1976, p. 85). Satanic high priest Anton LaVey explains the significance of this in his book The Satanic Rituals: Companion to the Satanic Bible: “The ceremony of rebirth takes place in a large coffin... This is similar to the coffin symbolism found in most lodge rituals.” Curiously enough, during the 1988 Presidential Campaign, a TV reporter asked Vice-President George H. W. Bush Sr. (father of President George W. Bush) whether he was a Christian. Bush Sr. initially stammered, but then said, “if you mean born again, then, yes, I am a Christian.” Now, was that a misleading statement on the part of George Bush Sr.? Is he a Christian or just “born again” Bonesman?
Just to set the record straight, so that Christians don’t get confused about Bush’s “born again” lark: Skull and Bones believe that on the night of initiation, the initiate “dies to the world and [is] born again into the Order.… ” When an initiate enters the coffin during his initiation, he is considered to have “died to self and to this world,” and born again into the Order. He is not born again in Christ.
Here is part of a 2000 interview (original transcript) given by the son, President George W. Bush Jr.:
TIME: But you [George W. Jnr.] sure shared a lot of the same upbringing: Andover, Yale, even Skull and Bones. Did you have any qualms, say, about joining an elite secret club like Bones?
Bush: No qualms at all. I was honored. I was fairly nonchalant. I didn’t view it as a great heritage thing. I didn’t take it all that seriously.
TIME: Demystify it a bit for those who might think it’s a cross between a Masonic Lodge and the Trilateral Commission. Did your father show up for your initiation, like your grandfather showed up for his?
Bush: Without revealing all the great secrets? I got a few of my old club mates who could demystify it right off the bat. My dad didn’t tap me. Someone a year ahead of me tapped me. There was an entry celebration. I can’t remember whether my dad showed up or not…. ”
Note that President Bush did not deny that Skull and Bones was a Masonic Lodge, rather he confirmed that he could not reveal “all the great secrets.” In fact that same 2000 interview, Bush said of his family’s historical involvement in Skull and Bones it is “my heritage; its part of who I am.” Indeed it is: his father, George H.W. Bush Sr. is also a “born again” member. Bush once said, to understand people you have to look at their family.
So, what exactly is Bush’s mission? “I’m here for a reason,” Bush told his chief political aide Karl Rove after the September 11 attacks. Close friends of the President speak of his views in similar terms: “I think, in his frame, this is what God has asked him to do,” said one close friend. One senior administration official said, “[Bush] really believes he was placed here to do this as part of a divine plan.” The question is: what divine plan is he referring to, God’s or someone else’s? We can guess the answer from a statement that Bush made t wo years into his presidency: “The best way to honour Pope John Paul II… is to take his teaching seriously… and PUT HIS WORDS AND TEACHINGS INTO ACTION HERE IN AMERICA.”Perhaps this explains what President Bush meant when three years later in 2004 he told the Knights of Columbus that he was their “friend in… administration,” and that together they would work “to change America”! Is President Bush a Catholic, you ask? Really, dear reader, you are far too inquisitive!
On March 23, 2001, a day after promising to put the pope’s teachings in to action in America, Bush was speaking at The Catholic University of America, and he reminded his audience that the former president of the Soviet Union had called the pope “the highest moral authority on earth.” Why did Bush feel the need to remind his audience of this? Does Bush also regard the pope as “the highest moral authority on earth?
Perhaps Bush and the Russian President were referring to a papal statement made on July 18, 1870 by Pope Pius IX: “We declare it to be an article of faith that the Roman Pope possesses infallibility in any doctrine relating to faith and morals. If anyone shall oppose this our decision, which God forbid, let him be accursed.”
Intelligent reader, whenever you hear a man express such views, as freely as Bush does, you can be sure that he is either a Jesuit, a tool of the Jesuits or that he has been “poisoned by their maxims.” Take your pick, the conclusions are not far different. Bonesmen do not kiss the pope’s ring at their initiation ceremony for no reason!
The Belfast Telegraph, April 14, 2007 reported: “US President George W Bush will meet with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican in June…. ” This meeting took place on June 25, 2007. Both men exchanged gifts. Why would the President of the United States of America go to Rome to kiss the ring of a mitred king of the Vatican? Bush had a “closed-door discussion” with Pope Benedict! As one of my acquaintances asked, “What did Bush and Benedict say to one another during those 35 minutes of privacy following the journalists’ departure from the Pope’s [private] library?” Equally fascinating is the significance of Benedict’s ‘message-packed’ gift to the U.S. commander-in-chief: a rare first edition of the autobiography of John Carroll of Baltimore. John Carroll was the first Catholic Archbishop of the United States and founder of the first Jesuit university in America—Georgetown University!
How profound of D. S. Phelan (a priest) to say, “The pope is the ruler of the world. All the emperors, all the kings, all the princes, all the presidents of the world are as these altar boys of mine.” Why do you doubt this? Have we not seen photographic, video and Television images of three U.S. presidents kneeling in homage before the bier of Pope John Paul II.
Robert Higgs comments of the power of the pope: “Observing the many government leaders gathered at the Vatican for the funeral of Pope John Paul II, we might well have suspected that the world’s politico-military chieftains need what the Pope has more than the Pope needs what they have.”
Above is the pictute of Bush Snr., along with his son President George W. Bush, his daughter-in-law, Laura, former President Bill Clinton, and Condi Rice, kneeling with hands clasped before the bier of Pope John Paul II.
This brings us back nicely to the question of why Bush said in his autobiography: “[in] My senior year (at Yale) I joined Skull and Bones, a secret society, so secret, I can’t say anything more.” Why not? Is that not a fair question to ask, intelligent reader? Bill Cooper says it is because: “Members of the Order take an oath that absolves them from any allegiance to any nation or king or government or constitution, and that includes the negating of any subsequent oath, which they may be required to take. They swear allegiance only to the Order and its goal of a New World Order... according to the oath Bush took when he was initiated into Skull and Bones, his oath of office as President of the United States means nothing.”
George W. Bush would have us believe that Skull and Bones is merely a footnote in his past: that he has had nothing to do with the Order after graduating from Yale. However, in 1971, “needing a job, Bush called a Bonesman, Robert H. Gow. Gow, who later told The Washington Post that his Houston-based agricultural company had not been looking for anyone at the time, hired Bush as a management trainee.”  “In 1977, when Bush formed Arbusto Energy, his first company, he applied to Skull and Bones for financial aid. With assistance from his uncle Jonathan Bush [a Bonesman], he lined up $565,000… One of them contributed $93,000—the venture capitalist William H. Draper III [also a Bonesman],” and “Twelve Bonesmen… gave a total of $35,500 to Bush’s 1998 gubernatorial campaign. At least forty-six Bonesmen… have given approximately $1,000 apiece to his presidential campaign—the maximum allowed by law.”
If you are scratching your head wondering to whom members of Skull and Bones take their secret oath of allegiance, the answer is: the ‘unknown superiors’—the pope, Masonic heads of the Order, all of whom answer to Quixote. And since, as we have seen, Skull and Bones honours the pope and Jesuit General (in the figure of Don Quixote), then is it too much of a stretch to conclude that the allegiance of Skull and Bones is to the Pope? This also begs the question, how can the American people place their trust in a President who holds secrecy and concealment so dear? How can they be sure that Bush hasn’t taken an oath to the superiors of his Order which conflicts with his duties as President? Said President John F. Kennedy: “The very word ‘secrecy’ is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers, which are cited to justify it. No President should fear public scrutiny of his program.Kennedy was assassinated!
So, in case you are still wondering why Bush “can’t say anything more” about Skull and Bones, perhaps it’s because he fears sharing the fate of President Kennedy. Or maybe it’s because as Plato said: “To assist in keeping up the deception, we will form secret societies and clubs… and so by fair means or by foul we shall gain our ends and carry on our dishonest proceedings with impunity.”
Well said were the words of President Ulysses S. Grant: all secret, oath-bound, political parties are dangerous to any nation, no matter how pure or how patriotic the motives and principles which first bring them together. For as Arkon writes, members of these secret societies seek to “gain financial and social power, and to place them at the disposal of the group,” Indeed, as we have seen and shall yet see again, we have cause to fear the Jesuits and their acolytes (Bonesmen, Rhodes Scholars, Phi Beta Kappa, etc., etc.) whose sole aim is to place men in high office—as advisers to presidents, congressmen, senators, Whitehouse aides, and Supreme Court Judges—to further their secret oath-bound purposes.

More Cuddy

By Dennis L. Cuddy Ph.D.

Former President Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar and brought many fellow Rhodes Scholars into his administration. They included Strobe Talbott, Robert Reich and George Stephanopoulos.
The desire of Cecil Rhodes, for whom the scholarships are named, was, in his own words, "to take the government of the whole world." And most Rhodes Scholars have been globalists in their world views.
During the current Democratic primary campaign, Clinton has encouraged fellow Little Rock, Ark., Rhodes Scholar Gen. Wesley Clark to run for the presidency. However, they are up against another powerful political force, and that is the Skull & Bones secret society of Yale University.
President George W. Bush, his father, grandfather and other members of the Bush family have been S&B members.
And -- like President Clinton bringing fellow Rhodes Scholars into his administration -- Bush has appointed a number of S&B members, including Edward McNally (general counsel to the Office of Homeland Security), William Howard Taft IV (legal counsel to Secretary of State Colin Powell), and William Henry Donaldson (chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission).
Time magazine founder Henry Luce was a member of S&B, and in Robert Herzstein's 1994 biography, "Henry R. Luce," S&B is characterized as "a secretive group of young men pledged to help each other throughout their lives." And "Secrets of the Tomb: Skull and Bones, the Ivy League and the Hidden Path of Power," written in 2002 by Alexandra Robbins, a member of Yale secret society Scroll & Key, quotes a Bonesman as saying S&B's founders "were a very adult set of the ruling elite." As an example of their influence, S&B member Winston Lord has been president of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Quite a few members of S&B have worked for the CIA, among them George H.W. Bush, William Bundy, William F. Buckley Jr., William Sloane Coffin and Archibald MacLeish.
Sometimes, the interests of S&B and Rhodes converge, as Clinton appointed Winston Lord (S&B) as an assistant secretary of state.
And Rhodes Scholar and U.S. Senator David Boren promoted George Tenet to be head of the CIA.
And then Boren put on his S&B hat to persuade Bush to keep Tenet in that position.
At about the same time, Cecil Rhodes was forming his Society of the Elect in the late l9th century to pursue his plans, S&B member William Whitney (a director of J. P. Morgan's Guaranty Trust) was developing a plan for political power.
According to Clinton's mentor at Georgetown University, professor Carroll Quigley, it was Whitney and other members of the power elite who "expected that they would be able to control both political parties equally. Indeed, some of them intended to contribute to both and to allow an alternation of the two parties in public office in order to conceal their own influence ... and to allow the electorate to believe that they were exercising their own free choice."
Quigley wrote this in "Tragedy and Hope" after he had looked at what he called the power elite's "secret records."
I have been able to refer to some of these "secret" records, as well, and I have the taped interview The Washington Post conducted with Quigley, after which the newspaper published an article with the headline, "The Professor Who Knew Too Much."
Today, it is a matter of controlling the choice Americans have for president.
If you don't like S&B member Bush (Republican), then your choice might be to vote for S&B member Sen. John Kerry (Democrat).
Thus, S&B would "conceal their own influence," as there would be what S&B member William Whitney described as "an alternation of the two parties in public office."
But S&B members Kerry and Bush both have supported NAFTA and GATT, for example, which are also supported by most Rhodes Scholars and are vitally important to the power elite.

Trading Truth for Solidarity - Part 5
Bush, Beliefs, and Elusive Bonesmen
Spreading universalism through dialectic thinking
By Berit Kjos - October 10, 2007

For background information, see America's Secret Establishment   |  Bonesman vs. Bonesman
Skip down to Skull & Bones or Hegel

"I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe."[1] President George W. Bush
"Americans of many faiths and traditions share a common belief that God hears the prayers of His children.... There is a power in these prayers [to various gods].... I ask the citizens of our Nation to give thanks, each according to his or her own faith...."[2] President George W. Bush

"How can The Order [of Skull & Bones] have a consistent objective with this potpourri of individual actions?... the objective of The Order is above and beyond these actions and in fact needs these seeming contradictions.... The answer to this seeming political puzzle lies in Hegelian logic...." See America's Secret Establishment

During a recent interview with Charles Gibson (ABC News), Bush expressed his belief that Christians and Muslims worship the same God. "I think we do," he said. "We have different routes of getting to the Almighty.'"[3]

Keep in mind, George W. Bush is neither a new nor a naive Christian. Throughout his presidency, he has assured us that he reads the Bible and believes in the Biblical Jesus. Various pastors have counseled and encouraged him through the years. Yet, he seems to have forgotten -- unless He never really believed -- that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6
Consistent with his interfaith beliefs, President Bush hosted an Islamic celebration at the White House on October 4. He welcomed his guests with these words,

"Laura and I are pleased to have you here for our seventh Iftaar dinner. Tonight we celebrate traditions of Islamic faith, which brings hope and comfort to more than a billion people. For Muslims around the world, the holy month of Ramadan is... a time to celebrate Islam's learned and vibrant culture, which has enriched civilization for centuries.... Ramadan is also a good time for Americans of all faiths to reflect on the values we hold in common -- including love of family, gratitude to the Almighty...."[4]
What "Almighty" represents "all faiths"?

None does! We either choose the God who revealed Himself through His living Word -- Jesus Christ -- or we choose the world's false gods. The latter leads to disaster!

Before the Iftaar celebration, our president was interviewed by Elie Nakouzi, a reporter with Al Arabiya TV. You can read the entire interview at the White House Website, but here are some revealing excerpts:
THE PRESIDENT: "... I believe in an almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe. I believe that Islam is a great religion that preaches peace. And I believe people who murder the innocent to achieve political objectives aren't religious people, whether they be a Christian who does that...."

: "...Are you also a man of war, as some try to describe, President Bush?"

THE PRESIDENT: Oh, no, no, I believe the actions we have taken will make it more likely peace happens. I dream it will be -- the last thing I want to be is a President during war. Now, remember, we got attacked....

See, I believe there is a universal God. I believe the God that the Muslim prays to is the same God that I pray to. After all, we all came from Abraham. I believe in that universality."[5]
Keep in mind that this universalism joins all the world's gods under one umbrella. In that envisioned union, there is no room for the "divisive" cross of Christ. Nor does his reference to Abraham make sense in light of God's warnings to Abraham's followers:
"Jesus said to them, 'If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.” John 8:39-40
"...when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them... [then] your heart is lifted up and you forget the Lord your God.... [Y]ou say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’... [I]f you by any means forget the Lord your God, and follow other gods... you shall surely perish." (Deuteronomy 8:10-20)

Update: President Bush was interviewed on ABC's "Nightline" (12-8-08). Here is the video: "President Bush's unshaken faith." Some of his statements were quoted in this article: Bush Says Creation 'Not Incompatible' With Evolution:
"Asked about creation and evolution, Bush said: 'I think you can have both. ... I think the creation of the world is so mysterious it requires something as large as an almighty and I don't think it's incompatible with the scientific proof that there is evolution."
"Interviewer Cynthia McFadden asked Bush if the Bible was literally true. [Bush answered:] 'You know. Probably not. ... No, I'm not a literalist, but I think you can learn a lot from it...."
"It is hard for me to justify or prove the mystery of the Almighty in my life," he said. "All I can just tell you is that I got back into religion and I quit drinking shortly thereafter and I asked for help. ... I was a one-step program guy."
"The president also said that he prays to the same God as those with different religious beliefs. 'I do believe there is an almighty that is broad and big enough and loving enough that can encompass a lot of people,' Bush said."

President Bush endorsed United Religions (URI)
Bush's universalism is the creed of the New World Order. One of the most influential leaders of the current shift from Biblical truth to a global spirituality is former Episcopal Bishop William Swing. In 1996, he founded the United Religions Initiative (URI), a global organization designed to bring all religions together to dialogue and seek common ground.[6] "You can work in terms of the model of the UN," he explained, "where you have the General Assembly and the Security Council."[7]
The original URI logo was a ring of symbols of the world's religions. Consistent with that spiritual convergence, Bishop Swing raised his arms to join a Wiccan invocation of Hekate and Hermes at the end of a 2000 global conference.[8] The next year, President Bush confirmed his support for the URI vision of solidarity in this appreciative letter:

"Both the United Religions Initiative and the International Diplomacy Council exist to foster a greater understanding among peoples. I salute these organizations for their roles in facilitating interaction among people and nations."[9]
By 1999, Bishop Swing had moved his headquarters to the Presidio, a former U.S. military base overlooking the entrance to the San Francisco Bay. The Presidio's other tenants included the Gorbachev Foundation [which has since left] and a multitude of globalist, UN, environmental, spiritual and educational organizations joined in a common pursuit: to establish a global management system based on universal beliefs and values. President Bush beliefs would fit right in! [See Star Wars Joins United Religions at the Presidio]

In this context, God's Word becomes meaningless. Warnings such as this are simply dismissed as foolish fundamentalism:

"My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water." Jeremiah 2:12-13
Former President H. W. Bush Supported the Moonies

The saffron-robed beggars of the seventies have donned more conservative clothing. "Claiming more than two million members," they are wealthy beyond comprehension -- and eager to buy the public endorsement of conservative leaders with a bent for universalism. Its "front groups" have infiltrated governments, communities, and churches around the world. And when the Rev. Sun Myung Moon offered to pay former President Bush for his praise and participation in various public events, Bush complied.
According to Lee Penn, author of False Dawn, George H. W. received $100,000 for sharing in the 1996 dedication of Rev. Moon's Tiempos Del Mundo, "a major Latin American paper based in Buenos Aires." Penn quotes Reuter,
"The former U.S. president, guest speaker at a banquet Saturday to launch Moon’s new publication.... [He] referred to Moon as ‘the man with the vision.' Bush then traveled with Moon to neighboring Uruguay... to help him inaugurate a seminary in the capital Montevideo to train 4,200 young Japanese women to spread the word of his Church of Unification across Latin America."[10]
Reverend Moon's next statements show his hostility toward Biblical Christianity:

"God has been fighting for 2,000 years to build a foundation that can connect to the world.... I hope that all religious people will join their hearts together and follow through on my proposal to establish a council within the United Nations composed of representatives from various religions, parallel with the General Assembly....

"I have already appointed tens of thousands of Ambassadors for Peace. All around the world, they carry the banner of the Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace that I founded.... It will not be long before the will of the almighty, omniscient and absolute God is accomplished."[11]

"An interfaith group founded by Unification Church leader Sun Myung Moon is spearheading an effort to have Christian ministers remove crosses from their churches, calling them a symbol of oppression and perceived superiority....
"The cross has served as a barrier in bringing about a true spirit of reconciliation between Jews and also between Muslims and Christians, and thus, we have sought to remove the cross from our Christian churches....'"[12]
Skull & Bones (S&B) prepares Yale students for leadership
This next section may trouble some of you, so I hesitate to include it. But without a glimpse of the organized leadership behind the scenes, we can neither understand the values that motivate our president nor the spiritual battle now raging in our churches.

While Satan is the master deceiver, he has always used gullible and ambitious people to accomplish his purposes – just as he did back when the author of Psalm 2 warned:

"Why do the nations rage, and the people plot [or conspire] a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves -- and the rulers take counsel together--against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.” Psalm 2:1-3

History is full of the tales and terrors of revolutionary conspirators. Many of God’s courageous Old Testament prophets lost their lives for exposing the plans of leaders bent on undermining God’s truth and deceiving His people. Today's most devious tool for changing beliefs, values, and the Christian family is Georg Hegel’s dialectic process, which was carried back to America from Germany in the 1800s by "enlightened" social leaders such as William Russell who founded a branch of a German secret society at Yale and called it Skull and Bones.
As an introduction to S&B, let me quote Dr. Carroll Quigley, the history professor at the Foreign Service Schools of Georgetown University whom Clinton honored in his acceptance speech at the 1992 Democratic Convention. In Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time, Quigley wrote:
"There does exist, and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network which operates, to some extent in the way the radical Right believes the Communist act. In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. I know of the operation of this network because I have studied it for twenty years, and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960s, to examine its papers and secret records."[13, p. 950]

"The powers of financial capitalism has another far reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole."[13, p. 324]

"The chief problem of American political life for a long time has been how to make the two Congressional parties more national and international. The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can 'throw the rascals out' at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy."[13, pp.1247-1248]
In other words, elected officials come and go, but the unelected leaders behind the scenes continue their guidance. [See the European model]. This plan was advanced by wealthy Skull & Bones member William Whitney -- (a director of J. P. Morgan's Guaranty Trust). He and other members of the power elite "expected that they would be able to control both political parties equally" through vast financial contributions.[14]
In his article, "Powerful political forces always at war," Dr. Dennis L. Cuddy writes,
"Time magazine founder Henry Luce was a member of S&B, and in Robert Herzstein's 1994 biography, 'Henry R. Luce,' S&B is characterized as 'a secretive group of young men pledged to help each other throughout their lives.'... As an example of their influence, S&B member Winston Lord has been president of the Council on Foreign Relations."[14]
These are current and historical facts, not conspiracy theories! Many leading change agents were primed for their future roles while Bonesmen at Yale. You probably recognize some of these family names: Russell, Lord, Taft, Bundy, Harriman, Weyerhaeuser, Rockefeller, Goodyear, Pillsbury, Kellogg, Vanderbilt, Buckley, Heinz, Kerry, and Bush.

According to Wikipedia, "Skull and Bones members played a key role in founding and setting the direction for the Carnegie Institution... as well as the American Economic Association, the American Historical Association, and the American Psychological Association. The first presidents of the University of California, Johns Hopkins University, and Cornell University were all Bonesmen. On October 22, 1945, Secretary of War Robert P. Patterson created the Lovett Committee, chaired by Bonesman Robert A. Lovett to develop a new U.S. intelligence apparatus. This resulted in the creation of the CIA, which has employed a number of Bonesmen" -- including George W. H. Bush. [15]
Skull & Bones has trained three generations of the Bush family: Prescott Bush [See How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power], his son George W. H. Bush, and his grandson George W. Bush, our current president. The book, Fishing out Skull & Bones, gives us a glimpse of its history:
"The story begins at Yale, where three threads of American social history -- espionage, drug smuggling and secret societies -- intertwined into one....  In 1823, Samuel Russell established Russell and Company for the purpose of acquiring opium in Turkey and smuggling it to China. Russell and Company merged with the Perkins (Boston) syndicate in 1830 and became the primary American opium smuggler. Many of the great American and European fortunes were built on the 'China' (opium) trade.... [more information]

"William Huntington Russell (S&B, 1833) Samuel’s cousin, studied in Germany from 1831-1832. Germany was a hotbed of new ideas.... Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel [was a professor] at the University of Berlin.... Hegel (an occultist) called the state the 'march of God in the world'...."[16]
In Hegel's dialectic process, there must be two or more sides to everything. Nothing is absolute; everything is continually changing -- in a preplanned direction. As Ismail Serageldin said at the 1996 UN Conference in Istanbul (Habitat II), "Let's just make sure that social change and transformation are going in the right direction." [Taped at the Conference]
Webster's dictionary defines the word "dialectic" as: "(Hegelian philosophy) a logical subjective development in thought, from a THESIS through an ANTITHESIS to a SYNTHESIS, or ... a continuous unification of opposites." Every belief and value must evolve and change. All dividing lines must be broken down. In churches and institutions everywhere, trained facilitators are leading small diverse groups toward a pre-planned consensus. The required diversity provides the needed "conflict" or tension between opposing views.

"When Russell returned to Yale in 1832, he formed a senior society [Skull & Bones] with Alphonso Taft....  Fifteen juniors are 'tapped' each year by the seniors to be initiated into next year’s group.... Far from being a campus fun-house, the group is geared more toward the success of its members in the post-collegiate world....

"On September 29, 1876, a group... broke into the Skull and Bones holy of holies.... Upstairs was lodge-room 322, the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, furnished in red velvet with a pentagram on the wall.... 'On the west wall [of the parlor], hung among other pictures, an old engraving representing an open burial vault, in which, on a stone slab, rest four human skulls, grouped about a fool's cap and bells [a close-fitting conical cap like the mythical Phrygian cap, also used by Rosicrucians], an open book, several mathematical instruments....'"[16]

How significant were these symbols? We don't know. But they do suggest that S&B's future world leaders were not trained to trust the God we love. Instead, those cultic images remind outsiders like us of another world -- a world driven by social and spiritual forces determined to erase God's "divisive" truths from the minds of the masses. That other world seems far removed from the land we know. In that strange dark domain, power counts more than peace -- and compromise replaces convictions. That's why its members can accept any deity as long as it serves their purpose.

The article, "Bush 'Worship' at Shinto Temple Troubles Christians" adds another clue to the beliefs that drive President Bush. On a visit to Japan in February 2005, he and his wife chose to enter the temple built to house the spirit of a former Japanese emperor. They clapped to awaken the revered spirit, then bowed in worship. Yet, they didn't have to do this ritual for diplomatic purposes. In fact, their escort, the Prime Minister, waited in the car, since the Japanese constitution bans his participation in Shinto rituals.[17]

Considering the evidence, I tend to believe that President Bush and the S&B share a common interest in mysticism, power, pragmatic elitism, and dialectic compromise. Today's postmodern times fit their aims. Certainty is out (banned by the dialectic process); but social and spiritual evolution are in. During the Christian era, many Bonesmen had to show outward conformity to Christian values to maintain their influence. But now, anything goes -- except Christian absolutes.

"The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders.... because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved." 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole Armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand!"  Ephesians 6:10-18
