The Pope's Knights

Summary: Catholic secret societies have been controlled by the Pope for centuries. But why do Protestants keep showing up on their rosters?

The Roman Catholic Church uses military-like orders or societies to carry out their aims and protect the Church. Using these societies as a secret army to do the Church's bidding protects it from scrutiny and bad press. For example, in the Middle Ages, the Knights Templar was an order that fought in the crusades on behalf of the Papacy. Templar Knights were given the ability to ignore many laws, taxes, and authorities, but had to obey the Pope.i
The regalia of the Knights Templars. Note the Maltese crosses.

Although we don't see the Knights Templar in their original form, there are many new versions of the Order, such as the Knights of Malta, Freemasons, and the various Orders of knights in Britain. European and North American political leaders are often members of these Orders.
If the Order is subservient to the Pope alone, and the British Queen and American President are members of the Order, who really rules the Western world?

The Knights of Malta

One Order of particular interest is the Knights of Malta. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, the Order of the Knights of Malta is, "The most important of all the military orders, both for the extent of its area and for its duration. It is said to have existed before the Crusades and is not extinct at the present time."ii
The Knights of Malta wore similar costumes to the Knights Templar before them. The stylized cross we see on their uniforms is known today as a Maltese cross.

The Maltese cross is a common feature of the Pope's garments, reminding us that he is the head of these Orders.
A Protestant branch of the Knights of Malta is the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. Queen Elizabeth II is the Sovereign Head of the Order of St. John, iii as we can see from her costume in the photograph.
The Queen's participation in this Order, which brings with it required obedience to the Pope, is an example of how King John's ancient concession of the crown to the Papacy is still in effect today.

America

The United States is also under the rule of the Papacy. Most American presidents have been involved in Freemasonry, which is an outwardly Protestant secret society that is actually controlled by Catholic Jesuits.
Presidents and other American leaders also have strong blood connections to British royalty, and many have been initiated into Knighthood in the Order of the Bath under the Queen. American leaders give their allegiance to the Queen, and the Queen is subservient to the Pope, which is just another way that the Papacy controls America.
The Order of the Bath, the Knights of Malta, and the Knights Templar are all the same. Behind the elaborate pomp of these orders sits the same power—the same people calling the shots.

The Jehovah's Witnesses
The Jehovah's Witness organization is believed to be a Christian option to the many other Christian denominations. However this religion contains many questionable elements including serious doctrinal error, the use of subliminals, and blatant occult and masonic images in their material. Although any connection between occultism and the Jehovah's Witness movement is vehemently denied, we can see the marks of Masonry and the occult throughout Jehovah's Witness documents and history. This is an occult society pretending to represent Jehovah.

The Bloody History of Papal Rome—A Timeline

Author: Darryl Eberhart and Amazing Discoveries™
Summary: The oppression of Protestants is widespread and consistent throughout history.

In Daniel we read that one of the characteristics of the Antichrist is that it would wear out the saints of the Most High:
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws (Daniel 7:25).
The Papacy has a long history of "wearing out" the saints of the Most High. Below is a timeline of the generally aggressive history of the Roman Catholic Church, but the most tragic one that concerns the Word of God is the persecution during the Middle Ages of anyone daring to oppose the Church. The Bible predicts that the saints of the Most High would be persecuted for 1260 years.

Historian J. A. Wylie said this:

It is idle in Rome to say, "I gave you the Bible, and therefore you must believe in me before you can believe in it." The facts...conclusively dispose of this claim. Rome did not give us the Bible—she did all in her power to keep it form us; she retained it under the seal of a dead language; and when others broke that seal, and threw open its pages to all, she stood over the book, and unsheathing her fiery sword, would permit none to read the message of life, save at the peril of eternal anathema" (emphasis in original).i
During these years of oppression in which the masses were kept in ignorance and the priest held sway over every aspect of life, here and there arose individuals willing to shine a light into the darkness. Dave Hunt tells us that because they rejected transubstantiation, "Christians were burned at the stake by Roman Catholics by the hundreds of thousands."ii
In 1940, French statesman Baron DePonnat stated, “Roman Catholicism was born in blood, has wallowed in blood, and has quenched its thirst in blood, and it is in letters of blood that its true history is written.” Indeed, the history of papal Rome has been one of brutal torture, slaughter, and mass murder. A Bloody Past

1096 Roman Catholic crusaders slaughter half the Jews in Worms, Germany.
1098 Roman Catholic crusaders slaughter almost all of the inhabitants of the city of Antioch.
1099 Roman Catholic crusaders massacre 70,000 Muslims and Jews when they capture Jerusalem.

1208 – 1226 The Albigensian Crusades in southern France. Roman Catholic crusaders slaughter approximately 20,000 citizens of Beziers, France, on July 22, 1209. Albigensian Christians and Catholics were slain. By the time the Roman Catholic armies finished their “crusade,” almost the entire population of southern France (mostly Albigensian Christians) has been exterminated. During the six centuries of papal Inquisition that began in the 13th century, up to 50 million people were killed. Read what J. A. Wylie's The History of Protestantism has to say about the Crusades against the Abigenses

1236 Roman Catholic crusaders slaughter Jews in the Anjou and Poitou regions of western France. The Catholic crusaders trample to death under their horses 3000 Jews who refuse baptism.

1243 Roman Catholic mobs burn alive all the Jews in Berlitz, Germany (near Berlin).

1298 Roman Catholic mobs burn alive all Jews in Rottingen, Germany.

April 26, 1349 Roman Catholic mobs burn to death all Jews in Germersheim, Germany.

1348 – 1349 The Jews are blamed for the bubonic plague. Author Dave Hunt tells us, “Accused of causing the ‘Black Death’ Jews were rounded up [by Roman Catholic mobs] and hanged, burned, and drowned by the thousands in revenge.”

1389 Roman Catholic mobs murder 3000 Jews in Prague when they refuse to be baptized.

1481 – 1483 At the direction of the Roman Catholic inquisitors, authorities burn at the stake at least 2000 people during the first two years of the Spanish Inquisition.

1540 – 1570 Roman Catholic armies butcher at least 900,000 Waldensian Christians of all ages during this 30-year period.

1550 – 1560 Roman Catholic troops slaughter at least 250,000 Dutch Protestants via torture, hanging, and burning during this ten-year period.

1553 – 1558 Roman Catholic Queen Mary I of England (aka “bloody Mary”) attempts to bring England back under the yoke of papal tyranny. During her reign, approximately 200 men and woman are burned to death at the sake. Her victims include bishops, scholars, and other Protestant leaders.

St Bartholemew Massacre
1572 St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre. French Roman Catholic soldiers begin killing Protestants in Paris on the night of August 24, 1572. The soldiers kill at least 10,000 Protestants during the first three days. At least 8000 more Protestants are killed as the slaughter spreads to the countryside.

1618 – 1648 The Thirty Years’ War. This bloody, religious war is planned, instigated, and orchestrated by the Roman Catholic Jesuit order and its agents in an attempt to exterminate all the Protestants in Europe. Many countries in central Europe lose up to half their population.

1641 –  1649 Eight years of Jesuit-instigated Roman Catholic butchery of Irish Protestants claims the lives of at least 100,000 Protestants.

1685  French Roman Catholic soldiers slaughter approximately 500,000 French Protestant Huguenots on the orders of Roman Catholic King Louis 14 of France.

Circa 1938 –  1945 Catholic dictators such as Adolf Hitler and Monsignor Tiso slaughter approximately six million Jews in Europe prior to and during World War 2.
1941 – 1945 The Roman Catholic Ustashi in the fascist state of Croatia butcher up to one million Serbian Orthodox Christians. Roman Catholic killer squads are often led by Franciscan priests, monks, and friars. This genocide is choreographed by two Jesuit prelates: Aloysius Stepinac and Ivan Saric.

The Aggressive Intentions of the Papacy

Author: Amazing Discoveries™
Summary: The historian Ranke says this about Protestant-Catholic relations: "In the year 1617, everything betokened a decisive conflict between them. The Catholic party appears to have felt itself the superior. At all events it was the first to take up arms."

This article highlights quotes from historical and Catholic sources proving the Papacy's aggressive nature.

Many Americans would be surprised to learn that one of the greatest opponents of civil and religious liberty is the Roman Catholic Church.
No one knows about the Roman Catholic hatred of liberty because history textbooks in public schools and colleges have been, for the most part, purged of nearly all things negative about papal Rome’s bloody history. Many Jesuits and other supporters of Catholicism have allegedly joined textbook selection committees in order to censor negative comments about the Roman Catholic Church. Encyclopedias in the USA have also been affected. History has been rewritten so that less and less people know about the true issues that faced the reformers and the true history of the Catholic Church.
Darryl Eberhart of Tackling the Tough Topics newsletter writes this:
Most of our encyclopedias and history textbooks do NOT tell us that the purpose of the attempted invasion of England in 1588 by the Spanish Armada was to land troops in England to be joined by local Roman Catholics in an effort to overthrow the government and bring England, by force, back under the authority of Papal Rome! The Roman Catholic King of Spain (Philip II) wanted financial “compensation” for launching this invasion. And so the Roman pontiff, Pope Sixtus V, promised King Philip II 200,000 crowns as soon as the Spanish Armada had set sail for England, and more cash to follow later. Thus the Papacy was helping to fund the planned invasion of England (all emphasis in original)!i
In 1931, Pope Pius XI explained this initiative in his encyclical Quadragesimo Anno:
Under the guidance and in light of Leo’s encyclical was thus evolved a truly Christian social science, which continues to be fostered and enriched daily by the tireless labours of those picked men whom we have named the auxiliaries of the Church...The doctrine of Rerum Novarum began little by little to penetrate among those who, being outside Catholic unity, do not recognize the authority of the Church; and these Catholic principles of sociology gradually became part of the intellectual heritage of the whole human race...Thus too, we rejoice that the Catholic truths proclaimed so vigorously by our illustrious Predecessor [Leo XIII in 1891’s Rerum Novarum], are advanced and advocated not merely in non-Catholic books and journals, but frequently also in legislative assemblies and in courts of justice” (emphasis added).ii
Here are several quotes highlighting the Papacy's aggressive intentions:
Catholic Professor Orestes Brownson, Brownson’s Review (January, 1854): 90:
But is it the intention of the pope to possess this country? Undoubtedly. In this intention is he aided by the Jesuits and all the Catholic prelates and priests? Undoubtedly, if they are faithful to their religion.iii
Hector MacPherson, The Jesuits in History (Edinburgh: Macniven and Wallace, 1914): 52, 85, 100:
...that the Jesuits were actively plotting for the extermination of Protestantism was no fiction of Oates, but a most certain and deadly fact...
At the Reformation the Irish race remained Romanist; and the miseries which came upon it must be in the main traced to the Jesuits, who used Ireland as a factor in their scheme of overthrowing the Protestantism of England and establishing a Roman Catholic dynasty completely under the control of the Papacy.
...wherever the Jesuits went, they placed the worldly prosperity and the political influence of their Order above all religious considerations. In accordance with their secret policy they set themselves to gain influence at Court; and, in order to carry their point, they were willing to countenance assassination, sedition, etc.
Pope John Paul II, in his apostolic letter Ad Tuendam Fidem (May 18, 1998), made bold statements about the need for submission to the Pope on doctrinal issues. He declared that lack of submission was worthy of punishment:
Whoever denies or places in doubt any truth that must be believed with divine and catholic faith, or repudiates the Christian faith as a whole, and does not come to his senses after having been legitimately warned, is to be punished as a heretic...whoever obstinately rejects a teaching that the Roman Pontiff or the College of Bishops, exercising the authentic Magisterium, have set forth to be held definitively, or who affirms what they have condemned as erroneous, and does not retract after having been legitimately warned, is to be punished with an appropriate penalty.
One of the doctrinal issues the Papacy demands submission on is the keeping of Sunday. Pope John Paul II said this, in agreement with Ad Tuendam Fidem:
A person who violates the sanctity of Sunday is to be punished as a heretic.iv
Pope Nicholas I in a letter to the King of Bulgaria in 860 AD:
I glorify you for having maintained your authority by putting to death those wandering sheep who refused to enter the fold; and you not only have not sinned, by showing a holy rigour, but I even congratulate you on having opened the kingdom of heaven to the people submitted to your rule. A king need not fear to command massacres, when these will retain his subjects in obedience, or cause them to submit to the faith of Christ; and God will reward him in this world, and in eternal life, for these murders.
Pope Urban II's address in Clermont, France in November 1095:
If you must have blood, bathe in the blood of infidels. Soldiers of hell, become soldiers of the living God!
Pope Leo VIII, Immortale Dei (November 1, 1885):
The unrestrained freedom of thinking and of openly making known one’s thoughts is not inherent in the rights of citizens and is by no means worthy of favor and support (emphasis added).
Pope Pius IX, Quanta Cura (December 8, 1864):
Which false and perverse opinions [of democracy and individual freedom] are on that ground the more to be detested, because they chiefly tend to this, that that salutary influence be impeded and (even) removed, which the Catholic Church, according to the institution and command of her Divine Author, should freely exercise even to the end of the world -- not only over private individuals, but over nations, peoples, and their sovereign princes; and (tend also) to take away that mutual fellowship and concord of counsels between Church and State which has ever proved itself propitious and salutary, both for religious and civil interests...

From which
totally false idea of social government they do not fear to foster that erroneous opinion, most fatal in its effects on the Catholic Church and the salvation of souls, called by Our Predecessor, Gregory XVI, an "insanity,"2 viz., that "liberty of conscience and worship is each man's personal right, which ought to be legally proclaimed and asserted in every rightly constituted society; and that a right resides in the citizens to an absolute liberty, which should be restrained by no authority whether ecclesiastical or civil, whereby they may be able openly and publicly to manifest and declare any of their ideas whatever, either by word of mouth, by the press, or in any other way (emphasis added).
The Syllabus of Errors Condemned by Pope Pius IX (December 8, 1864) lists several statements that the Pope called erroneous. Here are a few statements condemned by Pope Pius IX:
15. Every man is free to embrace and profess that religion which, guided by the light of reason, he shall consider true.

24. The Church has not the power of using force, nor has she any temporal power, direct or indirect.

77. In the present day it is no longer expedient that the Catholic religion should be held as the only religion of the State, to the exclusion of all other forms of worship.
The English Roman Catholic newspaper The Rambler (September 1852):
Shall I hold out hopes to the Protestant that I will not meddle with his creed, if he will not meddle with mine? Shall I lead him to think that religion is a matter for private opinion, and tempt him to forget that he has no more right to his religious views than he has to my purse, or my house, or my life blood? No! Catholicism is the most intolerant of creeds. It is intolerance itself, for it is the truth itself. We might as rationally maintain that two and two does not make four as the theory of Religious Liberty. Its impiety is only equaled by its absurdity.”
Catholic World (August 1871): 735:
We do not accept it [i.e., the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America], or hold it to be any government at all…If the American Republic is to be sustained and preserved at all, it must be by the rejection of the principle of the [Protestant] Reformation, and the acceptance of the Catholic principle...
"Faith," The Catechism of the Catholic Church (Liguori Publications, 1994): 507:
Heresy is the obstinate post-baptismal denial of some truth which must be believed with divine and catholic faith or it is likewise an obstinate doubt concerning the same;.... schism is the refusal of submission to the Roman Pontiff or of communion wiht the members of the Church subject to him.
Civilta Cattolica (House organ of the Jesuits):
Fascism is the regime that corresponds most closely to the concepts of the Church of Rome.
Western Watchman (A Roman Catholic publication out of St. Louis):
The [Roman Catholic] church has persecuted. Only a tyro [i.e., novice] in church history will deny that…one hundred and fifty years after [Roman Emperor] Constantine, the Donatists were persecuted and sometimes put to death…Protestants were persecuted in France and Spain with the full approval of the [Roman Catholic] church authorities…When she [i.e., the Roman Catholic Church] thinks it good to use physical force, she will use it.”
Protestantism is not a religion...never was a religion. The most that could be said about it was that it was a form of rape and robbery masquerading as a religion.
Father Charles Chiniquy, The Priest, The Woman and the Confessional (BiblioBazaar, 2007): 104:
Have not the popes publicly and repeatedly anathematized the sacred principle of Liberty of Conscience? Have they not boldly said, in the teeth of the nations of Europe, that Liberty of Conscience must be destroyed – killed at any cost?  Has not the whole world heard the sentence of death to liberty coming from the lips of the old man of the Vatican?”
Catholic Encyclopedia volume 14 (1911): 767-768:
There is no graver offense than heresy... and therefore it must be rooted out with fire and sword.
David Hunt, A Woman Rides the Beast (Harvest House, 1994): 126:
The Constitution of the United States was condemned by the Papacy because it separated church and state and prohibited the establishment of any religion by the government. The popes, on the other hand, had long required governments to make Roman Catholicism the official religion and to prohibit the practice of any other.
Dr. William P. Grady:
During a sermon in 1850, [Roman Catholic] Archbishop John Hughes of New York, the nation’s leading Vatican spokesman, acknowledged that a conspiracy to subjugate free America did exist after all.  The Catholic press was ecstatic.  An excerpt from ‘Shepherd of the Valley’, the official journal of the [Roman Catholic] Bishop of St. Louis, declared, ‘If Catholics ever gain a sufficient numerical majority in this country, religious freedom is at an end.  So our enemies say, so we believe.’  [Catholic Archbishop] Hughes’ own paper, the ‘New York Freeman’ brazenly announced, ‘No man has a right to choose his religion.’
Bill Hughes, The Secret Terrorists (Truth Triumphant Ministries): 138:
For over 200 years, the goal [of the Jesuits] has been the complete destruction of the United States Constitution…In the religious arena, the goal of the Jesuits is to wipe out any trace of Protestantism and other religions, and to restore worldwide domination by the pope.
Darryl Eberhart, "The Papacy's Hatred of Liberty," Tackling the Tough Topics:
...the Papacy, despite its “ecumenical rhetoric”, has not changed a bit over the many centuries in the following categories:

* Its deep hatred of Jews, all independent Bible-believing Christians, Protestants, and Orthodox Christians (as recently as the 1940s we find Roman Catholic Ustashi military units in Croatia, led and urged on by Franciscan priests, monks, and friars, slaughtering from 600,000 to one million innocent Serb Orthodox Christian men, women, elderly, and children – many of the victims being first brutally tortured);

* Its long-held dream to bring all Christians under its monopolistic, totalitarian, ecclesiastical control;
* Its long-held dream to head up a totalitarian one-world religious organization; and,
* Its long-held dream to bring all world leaders – especially those in “Christian” countries – under the temporal power of the pope.
Charles Chiniquy, a Catholic priest who turned to Protestantism, warns America about these aggressive intentions of the Papacy:
Those bloody and anti-social laws of Rome, after having covered Europe with ruins, tears and blood, for ten centuries, have crossed the oceans to continue their work of slavery and desolation, blood and tears, ignorance and demoralization, on this continent. Under the mask and name of Democracy, they have raised the standard of rebellion of the South against the North, and caused more than a half million of the most heroic sons of America to fall on the fields of carnage.

In a very near future, if God does not miraculously prevent it, those laws of dark deeds and blood will cause the prosperity, the rights, the education, and the liberties of this too confident nation, to be buried under a mountain of smoking and bloody ruins. On the top of that mountain, Rome will raise her throne and plant her victorious banners.

Then she will sing her Te Deums and shout her shouts of joy, as she did, when she heard the lamentations and cries of desolation of the millions of martyrs burning in the five thousand auto-da-fes she had raised in all the capitals and great cities of Europe.

Ignatius of Loyola and Martin Luther
Some 500 years ago, Martin Luther and St. Ignatius of Loyola were caught in the same struggle between faith and works that has been raging since the beginning of time. Loyola attempted to stymie Luther's Reformation, which was reminding the people of the truth and grace found in God's Word.

Religious Doublespeak

Author: Wendy Goubej
Summary: Language can be used to communicate both truth and lies. Learn about the religious doublespeak being used to pull the wool over the eyes of the world.

An Introduction

Throughout history, language has always been a means of communication. God used language to communicate to us when He inspired the Holy Scriptures to be written. It was at the Tower of Babel that God created many languages (Genesis 11:7,9), making communication more complicated. It kept people apart and problems more localized. But because language is so critical to effective communication, people have overcome the language barrier, learning a second language in order to communicate better with another people group. During the Protestant Reformation, it was the translation of the Word into the common people’s tongue that helped them break away from tyranny and oppression by Rome. Nowadays, it seems like language is hardly a barrier at all. In our international world, business is conducted in every language and the UN Assembly meets in multiple languages to discuss world issues.
But language is not always used for helpful communication. It can also be used to exclude others, even within the same tongue. Imagine if you were to suddenly find yourself at a physics convention. Would you understand what was being said? Recently, I participated in a class on linguistics—the study of language and its structure. I thought the class would be easy to understand since it was all about how we communicate. Instead I found myself lost in a sea of academic jargon. Jargon is a specialized language or vocabulary that is specific to a particular trade, profession, or group. In the case of this class, the struggle to make sense of straightforward concepts couched in exhaustingly long words was maddening.
But of all language uses, the worst is when language itself is used to conceal the truth and deceive others. Clear communication is based on the assumption that the person speaking or writing is sincere. Even if language barriers pose a problem, a sincere desire to be understood is necessary and expected in order to achieve final comprehension of what is being said. We bring in interpreters or rephrase our sentences into simpler ones so that the hearer can better understand. But when language is used insincerely or deceptively, when there is a gap between one’s real aims and one’s stated aims, communication becomes dangerous because it can numb us into a false security. In this case, one message is being communicated to the masses while an entirely different meaning is intended that is purposefully not explained.
Source: Rich Anderson on Flickr.
George Orwell writes in Politics and the English Language that instead of being “an instrument for expressing thought,” language can be a means “for concealing or preventing thought.” According to Orwell, “if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.” Could someone’s carefully formulated language actually corrupt the thoughts of listeners? Orwell was primarily referring to political communication, when he wrote his essay, but perhaps his observations can apply in other areas as well.
Language that is evasive, deceptive, misleading, or self-contradictory is known as “doublespeak.” Doublespeak is not rare. It is all around us and is causing a communication crisis of unimaginable proportions in the religious world. As we draw near to Christ’s Second Coming, we cannot afford to be confused. Many of the messages we are hearing from Christians, religious leaders, and the media are lulling us to sleep because we believe we understand what we are hearing. Thus, many of us are not alarmed and we raise no protest. I’d like to suggest that Satan plays the game of doublespeak best, hijacking words without our knowledge and making them mean something entirely different and then using them on us. But we, not knowing of the change in meaning, accept what is said without question.
The Bible teaches that we should test what we hear so we can properly understand it and prove its correctness (Acts 17:11). God counsels us to be wise as serpents (Matthew 10:16). He also warns us that at the end of time, deception will be so rampant that even the very elect are in danger of being deceived (Matthew 24:24).  In this article, and future ones, we’d like to examine some of the words being used in Christian circles to find out what is really being intended.

Natural Law and Reason

On April 19, 2008, Pope Benedict addressed the world from New York. In his speech, the Pope upheld the UN as a crucial defender of human rights and a force for peace. He claimed that unless these human rights were considered “God-given,” they would be subject to erosion or revocation. The Pope urged the world to set human rights in stone, as they are the key to world peace and security. Human rights, he said, “are based on the natural law inscribed on human hearts...”
It all sounded very nice and very caring. To most people, the Pope didn’t say anything alarming at all. On the contrary, he seemed to be upholding the principles of brotherly love between all mankind. After all, if people paid better attention to human rights, this world would be a better place, wouldn’t it? People wouldn’t get massacred, and children would grow up in a better world with more access to education, medical attention, and be well taken care of, right?
Well, if we believe that, then we have been victims of the Pope’s doublespeak. Not only have we been unbelievably conned, but because of our ignorance as to what exactly the Pope was saying, we could be aiding and abetting the greatest oppression ever to be foisted on Planet Earth.
Now don’t get me wrong. The idea of treating others with dignity and equality, giving the right to life, liberty, and security, freedom of religion and thought are not wrong. Equality of mankind and freedom of choice originated with God. And His law does teach respect for others. In fact, it goes beyond that to loving our enemies and praying for those that are spiteful to us. There is more to the Pope’s speech than meets the eye.
Let’s put on our investigative hats, and do some research to better understand what the Pope is actually saying.

Background and History:

Where did human rights come from?
Human rights have been around in some form or another for a long while, but during the French Revolution, a specific human rights declaration was drawn up consisting of 17 rights all declaring the right of liberty, property, security, and resistance to oppression. In 1948, 13 more rights were added, and the entire list was re-worked so that there are now 30 human rights in the UN Declaration of Human Rights.i The UN calls upon all countries to publicize the text of the Declaration and to “cause it to be disseminated, displayed, read, and expounded principally in schools and other educational institutions, without distinction based on the political status of countries or territories.”

Shouldn’t the head of a Christian Church like the Pope be proclaiming the law of GOD in his address in New York rather than human rights started during the French Revolution?
There was much more about the French Revolution than just human rights. It was an all-out war against the God of heaven, the dethroning of God, replacing Him with the sovereignty of another universal god. During the French Revolution, Bibles were burned. The two witnesses spoken of in Revelation 11 who were clothed in sackcloth and who are overcome by the beast from the bottomless pit in the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt (Zechariah 4:11-14; Revelation 11:2-11).
In 2005, Condoleeza Rice, then Secretary of State extolled the Bush Administration for continuing “the work of the 18th century French Revolution” (The New American, March 7, 2005). Considering that the French Revolution consisted of debasing debauchery and outright rebellion against God, such a comment from Rice is more shameful than praiseworthy. During that awful period of earth’s history, God’s reality was replaced with a different reality. And that is exactly what is happening today. It is doubtful if anything coming from the French Revolution could be a real key to peace and security on this earth, as the Pope would like us to believe.
Who does the Pope really think he is?
In 1455, Pope Nicholas V published the Decretal De Translat. Espiscop. Cap. where he said about himself:

“I have the authority of the King of Kings.  I am all in all and above all.  Wherefore if the things that I do be said not to be done of man, but of God, what can you make me but God? … Wherefore, no marvel if it be in my power to change time and times: to alter and abrogate laws, to dispense with all things, yea, with the precepts of Christ… The Pope has power to change times, to abrogate laws, and to dispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ. He can pronounce sentences and judgements in contradiction to the rights of nations, to the law of God and man... He can free himself from the commands of the apostles, he being their superior, and from the rules of the Old Testament.”ii
Sounds a lot like 2 Thessalonians 2:4 where the man of sin “opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God...”  What is the connection between this arrogant attitude and the Pope’s interest in human rights? We all know from history how little respect the Catholic Church had for human rights. Has the Roman system changed?

Defining the Jargon:

Before we go any further, we need to learn some of the jargon of the Catholic Church.
Reason
During the French Revolution, a Goddess of Reason was proclaimed by the French Convention. As personification for the goddess, a profligate woman was chosen. The goddess was celebrated in Notre Dame de Paris and put on the high altar in the Cathedral.  This deification of women is a Luciferian theology, and is a basis for the Gaia Hypothesis that controls the current environmental focus. This, we shall later see, is part of the Pope’s interest as well.

In Facts for the Times, Pope Nicholas (Dist. 96) is quoted to have said: “The Pope’s will stands for reason. He can dispense above the law; and of wrong make right, by correcting and changing laws.”iii
So the Pope’s will stands for (or equals) REASON.  We shall see that “reason” or “reasonable” are important words in the Pope’s doublespeak.
Natural Law
The Pope said that human rights, “are based on the natural law inscribed on human hearts...”

Thomas Aquinas, in his book Summa Theologica, was the first to set forward the principles of a natural law.
In The Chronicle Review: a Chronicle of Higher Education, Alan Wolfe, Jewish Professor at Boston College wrote an article entitled “The Intellectual Advantages of a Roman Catholic Education” in the issue dated May 31, 2002. He writes this:
“Among Catholic intellectuals, as well as some who are not Catholic, the most important Catholic inheritance is the natural law tradition, which is premised on the idea that there are certain truths in the world that remain true irrespective of whether the laws and conventions of any particular society adhere to them. At its worst, belief in natural law can lead to ideological rigidity and inflexible inhumanity...Catholics are likely to hold that the truth of God’s existence must mean the truth of man’s reason, art’s beauty, and morality’s universality.”
In other words, man’s reason is unfallen. God’s existence and man’s reason as well as art’s beauty and morality’s universality are all on an equal level. By reason we can change things.
Is this Biblical? Roman Catholic Natural law is derived from the premise that reason is unfallen.  Protestant Law of Nature embodies reason subdued by the Word.
The Bible tells us that the whole head is sick (Isaiah 1:5), that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked (Jeremiah 17:9), that in our flesh there dwelleth “no good thing” (Romans 7:18), and that by our own selves, we can do nothing (John 15:5). But the Roman Catholic Church says “No.” Rome says that the Pope is the superior—that he can correct the apostles and free himself from the Word. Thomas Aquinas says that we may have fallen bodies but our intellect, our reason, is unfallen and therefore we can make decisions equal to the law of God.
Earlier we read that the Pope’s will stands for reason. So who will be the one deciding what is reasonable? The Pope, of course, who rules by divine right and considers himself equal to God Himself. By the end of this study, we shall surely see that under natural law, we become a number, and cannot rise above the thought pattern of the community (or leadership).
Richard M. Gula, Professor of Moral Theology at the St. Patrick’s Seminary in California wrote this in his book Reason Informed by Faith—Foundations of Catholic Morality:
Natural law is central to Roman Catholic theology...The advantage of using natural law is that the church shows great respect for human goodness and trusts the human capacity to know and choose what is right. Also by means of appealing to natural law, the church can address its discussion and claims for the rightness or wrongness of particular actions to all persons of good will, not just to those who share its religious convictions...The magisterium has appealed to natural law as the basis for its teachings pertaining to a just society, sexual behaviour, medical practice, human life, religious freedom, and the relationship between morality and civil law...In any case, the development of natural law tradition among Christian thinkers is due not so much to the scriptures as to the influence of Greek philosophy and Roman law (pp. 120-121).
Let’s pull this loaded quotation apart point by point.
#1: “Natural law is central to Roman Catholic theology...”
So now we know that whenever the words “natural law” are used in a speech by a representative of Rome, we should listen because they are speaking about a central issue of their theology.

#2: “...the church shows great respect for human goodness and trusts the human capacity to know and choose what is right...”
The human capacity can be trusted? The Bible doesn’t tell us that. Doesn’t goodness come from God?

#3: “the church can address its discussion and claims for the rightness or wrongness of particular actions to all persons of good will”
Note that it does not say that the Church can work with all persons. Only all persons of good will. There’s a difference. Who decides who is of good will and who is not? What are the criteria? We are left to wonder.

#4: “the development of natural law tradition among Christian thinkers is due not so much to the scriptures as to the influence of Greek philosophy and Roman law.”
So natural law, which is central to Catholic theology (meaning the basis of all its doctrines and teachings), comes NOT from the Scriptures but from Greece (the leopard beast) and from Roman law (the 4th beast).

#5: “...natural law as the basis for its teachings pertaining to a just society, sexual behaviour, medical practice, human life, religious freedom, and the relationship between morality and civil law.” So all of our lives, from the justice system, to medicine, to our religious freedom, to our civil laws, and even to our right to exist, are to be based on the principles of natural law according to the Roman Catholic Church.
Let’s summarize our findings thus far:

  • The Pope has power to change laws, and to dispense with all things, even the precepts of Christ. He is above the law – even God’s law.  Since the Pope believes he is God on earth, doesn’t have to follow any of Christ’s rules, and can do anything he wishes, anytime he discusses God, or theology, or law, he could very easily be actually discussing his own law, theology, or intentions.
  • The tenets of the Roman Catholic church are based on something called “natural law” which, if the Pope has anything to say about it, will govern all aspects of our existence.
  • The Pope did NOT extol God’s law. He is the champion of human rights. THEY are the key to world peace and security.
  • Natural law recognizes only people of good will. Those deemed to be without “good will” do not fit in with world peace plans.
  • Human rights are a part of that natural law. These are the same human rights that were formed during the French Revolution when the goddess of Reason was crowned. “Reason” is an important keyword in Catholic theology, as is “natural law” and “human rights”.
  • The Pope’s will stands for reason (and all things reasonable).

Now let’s address one last point of Gula’s revealing paragraph.
#6: “the church can address its discussion and claims for the rightness or wrongness of particular actions to all persons of good will, not just to those who share its religious convictions”
The aim of historical Rome, which has always been one of total global domination, is still valid today. The Catholic Church would like to be the spokesman for and to ALL religions, not just Catholics. Its principles of natural law are to be the controlling principles over all religions. The Pope would like to be the universal ruler and to unite all religious systems under one law, a law based on “reason,” the natural law of the Roman Catholic Church. Do we not see him speaking and acting as one who has authority and influence over all areas of society, over nations and religions? Only the most uninformed could possibly not have noticed.

On July 7, 2009, the Pope made another speech calling for a “God-centered” global economy. Was he speaking of our true God? Or was he speaking of himself?  In this most recent encyclical, the Pope calls for a reform of the UN that will establish a “true world political authority” with “real teeth” to manage the global economy with God-centered ethics.iv We should ask ourselves who this true world political authority is going to be. From ethics and human rights to the financial crisis to poltical authority, the head of the Roman Church has a solution for the world.
In the next issue we study these issues further by examining Rome’s idea of economic health, and who the champion of world ethics really is.
